Passion Pit

if i were one of those bloggers that posted new acts before they became somewhat mainstream then i'd have to shoot myself in the head right now. but luckily im not. i love passion pit! palm pixi be damned!
Anyway; their chunk of change EP was basically the soundtrack of my senior year so when i found it in a record store the other day it is understandable how i flipped out and bought it for the outrageous price. physical copy of greatness? price me damned!
heres the goods; from notorious to almost obscure.

M83

Master of the synths, M83 has been making music since 2001. But not until 2005 with the release of 'before the dawn heals us' (and the departure of nicolas fromageau) did they produce a sound that cannot be described as anything less than infectious. M83 has continued to ride a wave of success since, releasing 'saturdays = youth' in 2008; which to be frank, is nothing short of breathtaking.
here are some of the highlights of m83's career:

M83 - Kim and Jessie from Mute Records on Vimeo.

Graveyard Girl from purnell on Vimeo.

M83 - We Own the Sky from Mute Records on Vimeo.

M83 "Don't Save Us From The Flames" from Matthew Frost on Vimeo.

M83 - MOONCHILD from Evan Lane on Vimeo.
